Marilyn Riseman was a pioneer in Boston's fashion scene. She owned a small national chain of high-end clothing boutiques from 1966 to 1982 called Apogee that specialized in European clothing. This was my first real fashion job at her Boston boutique on famed Newberry Street in the early 70's. She liquidated the franchise and became a fashion/style contributor for the Boston Globe.
